Get Noticed!

With New Habbo the setup for the Navigator changed, while you can still use the different categories of our Guest Room Floors ("Everyone"), you can now tag your room as well!

Not only will tags make it easier for people to search for your room in the navigator, it could also get picked up by our automated searches!

TAG SEARCHES
In the Official Rooms list, some of the thumbnails take you to a list of Guest Rooms.. e.g. "Need a guide". This list is actually an automated search for rooms that are tagged with the word "guide". In other words, if your room has a "guide" tag on it, it might show up there.

4 new tag searches have been added to the list in order to make it easier to find people to hang out with, which also means more opportunities for you to get your room noticed!

The following tags are now in the Navigator:
- trading
- dating
- games
- party
- guide

HOW TO TAG
This is how you tag it...

* Build a really cool looking room, if you have a theme, even better!

* Decide what kind of room it is, do you want to run games? Wanna trade? Do the dating thing? Talk about movies? Music? Or simply just offer a place where people can hang, chill, party? Find words that fit the room and its purpose.

* When in the room, click the little room symbol to the lower left of your hotel screen, then choose "Room Settings" (see thumbnail below)

* Make sure to complete the whole "Room Setting" sheet, and add one or two tags. If you feel that your room fits one of our automated searches, use one of the tags listed above. Remember, you can search for all kinds of tags in the Navigator, not only the ones we have listed.

SOME OTHER GOOD TIPS
Once you do the tag thing, there are a couple of other things that might get you noticed!

* Edit your navigator icon! Change background, icon and top layer for a personalised image that fits your room and will lure people in. You can find the Edit button in the "Room Settings", same as the tags.

* Make sure your room is in a category! You can still look for rooms in the Guest Room Categories, so make sure you choose one.

* Create an Event! If you want some company, it might be a good idea to create an event inviting people in. Click the Room icon on the lower left, choose "Create an event" and fill out the details. Your event will show up on the front page of Habbo.ca...

A LAST PIECE OF ADVICE
If you want your room to stay popular, you gotta remember to follow through... Tagging your room, creating events, changing the icon are all ways of getting people curious enough to stop by, but they will never wanna stay if your room isn’t what you said it would be.

So if you say you’re gonna do games, do games! If you wanna trade, have something to trade.. Tagging an empty room is uncool and people will definitely never wanna come back. Do up a great room, invite people over and make them want to stay!
