All of us here at Habbo are genuinely concerned about the environment and we believe that global warming is becoming a much more serious issue.
Because we love the Earth, we are fully supporting
WWF's Earth Hour campaign - for a second year in a row! But we're not the only ones supporting it: we're asking you to unite with your fellow Habbos to take part in this prolific event!
WWF’s Earth Hour 2010 is aimed at motivating every individual, business and community to switch their lights off for one hour at 8.30pm (your local time) on Saturday March 27th 2010. Computers, TVs and radios can remain on.
WWF’s goal is to engage over a billion people worldwide. That includes all of us in the Hotel as well!
EARTH HOUR IN HABBO HOTELAs a special event in the Hotel, on
Saturday March 27th at 8:30pm PT / 11:30pm ET, we will be closing the Hotel for
ONE hour in support of Earth Hour 2010. That's right, for
ONE hour the Hotel will be closed. In 2009 we closed at 8:30 ET, so this year we decided to show some love to the players on the West Coast and close during the PT Earth Hour.
Please remember to join the
Earth Hour 2010 group. For all who have joined the group by Sunday March 28th, you will earn the Earth Hour Badge. This is the same badge as last year but if you already the badge please still join the 2010 group to show your support. There's also an awesome FREE Earth Hour sticker in the Web Catalog so display it proudly on your homepages.
