At a recent concert in London’s Hammersmith Apollo, Katy Perry was left stunned when she found out her fans showed no love for the Beebs.
The California Girl discovered that her fans weren’t feeling the fireworks (get it?) when she told them she was going to cover "Baby", which was obviously made famous by Justin Bieber.
The fans reportedly boo’d and hissed when she even mentioned his name which didn’t leave her too impressed, at all. She then began to try to win the crowd over by saying, and I quote,
"Justin is mine and Russell (Brand, rugged and oh so luscious husband)’s adopted son. We love him dearly. Don’t boo him, guys. Come on!" Being a die-hard Bieber geek, this seemed to hit Katy hard. She has never been shy about her love for the teen pop sensation. It seems Bieber has even won over Katy’s hubby Russell. He's been known to say that he wants to
"grow his own Justin and look after him." I find this kinda strange. Russell’s past portrays him as a partying lady’s man, so you can’t really imagine him waving around a foam finger to "Never Say Never".
It makes you wonder if Bieber was to cover Katy’s song, would the crowd give him the same reaction? If he did I could only hope he would cover "Peacock", that would be quite hilarious I must say...
This story has rocketed around the news and it just shows that not everyone has love for the Teenage Dream that is JB. Maybe Katy will think twice about covering any of his songs in the future, who knows? Cheer up Katy - we still love you!
