Habbo is a fun community where you can make friends, play games, create rooms and much more. Unfortunately, not everyone on Habbo wants to socialize or make friends. 

Scams that happen within the hotel mostly revolve around getting a user to visit an outside website. These websites are “phishing” sites, which fraudulently steal your personal information and are made to look like a legitimate website. The site may ask for your Habbo email and password or other private information in order to gain access to your account.

Retros are not connected to Habbo in any way, shape or form. In fact, as you may or may not be aware, they seriously breach copyright law. Many Habbos sign up to these retros using the same Habbo name and password - which means that the person who owns the retro can steal their real Habbo account. Some even download keyloggers or other spyware onto visitors' machines!
