And now, on to the answers!,Haner asks: If you had a date on Valentines day and you decided you were going to make a home cooked meal, what would you cook for your date?Kitano: Well, I can't cook. But in a pretend fantasy land where I could, I would want something light like pasta bolognese . And for desert some kind of chocolate cake with strawberries on.
Puffin: Something simple that could be prepared mostly in advance, so I could spend as much time with my date as possible. Maybe steak tartar served on little pieces of toasted bread, and for desert, molten chocolate lava cakes with lemon sorbet... Perfectly yummy and very sassy!
Neja: Something I've cooked before and knew would be a success. Steak with cream sauce and steamed veggies always turn out yummy!
!!Missymoo555!! asks: What would be your perfect idea for a date?Kitano: A small, quiet bar on the edge of town, where the drinks are cheap, and the jukebox is fairly quiet maybe playing some Mark Knopfler or Hank Williams, and there's no sport on TV. It would have to be fairly dark as well, so maybe some candles.
Puffin: I always wondered what it would be like to be one of those girls in the movies, that get whisked away to Paris for a weekend... I mean, I'd usually go for the low-key option, a nice dinner, a walk through the city, ending up at a pub somwhere.. But it would be nice to have that dinner in Montmartre, walk along the Seine and end up at a pub by the Eiffel Tower, don't you think? ;)
Neja: Nothing formal, that would make me nervous. Cooking at home sounds lovely. Going to the movies is a bad dating move I think, you can't chat and be social there.
BuffyPetrova asks: What was the most romantic gesture you have done for a special someone on Valentine's Day?Kitano: I was polite to my girlfriends parents.
Puffin: I wrote a poem once, when I was 13. Almost peed my pants giving it to the guy I had a momentous crush on. He turned bright red, stuttered 'thank you', and that was that. I stopped with the romantic gestures on Valentine's after that, too much awkwardness! I believe in everyday romantic gestures instead.
Neja: This year, I got my boyfriend some Invader Zim stuff (a mousepad and an iPad sticker of Gir). His favorites!
pizihddo asks: Have you ever had unrequited love before?Kitano: Isn't all love unrequited?
Puffin: My first crush.. was a boy that I met when I was 6. It was love at first sight and I couldn't quite shake the thought of him for years and years. He didn't feel the same way, and at times it tore me apart inside... Then in a weird turn of events, we met a few years ago after not having seen each other in forever, and he admitted to having a huge crush on me that whole time, too, but was too afraid to do anything about it. But by then I'd found real happiness and true love elsewhere... Life sure is a strange thing.
Neja: Yes. It's horrible / heartbreaking. Boo! ;_;
Mr.CharmingCatz asks: What is your favorite flower?Kitano: No idea.
Puffin: When our Starflower Lilies blossom in early summer, my heart sings. Truly.
Neja: I like Twilight Jasmine's and Heartblossoms.
LolaTheCat asks: Do you guys believe in love at first sight?Kitano: No.
Puffin: Yes. I just think you don't always trust yourself to see it. Doesn't mean
ALL love happens at first sight, but I'm here to tell you it
can happen ;)
Neja: No, but maybe a crush at first sight?
Jarrhey asks: Any advice for being single on Valentine's day?Kitano: Call your ex-girlfriend and cry to her down the phone until she hangs up. Do this at 3am for maximum effect.
Puffin: It's a normal Tuesday, really, what would you do on any other Tuesday? I often find that people put too much emphasis on this day... It's just a day!
Neja: Throw a party with other single friends. Valentine's can just as well be about spending time in good company (and if it goes well, who knows you might end up not single at the end of the evening).
98distinctive4 asks: If you could bring any extinct animal to life, what would it be and why?Kitano: Sabre-toothed tiger. I would call mine Frank.
Puffin: I'd want a friendly Diplodocus grassing in my garden, wouldn't you?
Neja: Dodos of course! It's horrible that they've gone extinct. Cutest birds ever! *^_^*
:PrudenceDonn: asks: What's your favorite dessert?Kitano: Pancakes.
Puffin: Molten Chocolate Lava Cake.. as mentioned above ;)
Neja: Caaaaake. Chocolate cake. Or any kind of fruit mousse cheesecake.
Epistrophe asks Kitano: Can I get a Ronald Reagan reference? Here's one for the gipper.
pppooolll asks Puffin: If you could be in any movie, which one would it be and who would you be?My favourite movie of all times is
True Romance, and I'd be Alabama for sure... If I had to choose a newer movie, I'd take on Carey Mulligan's role in
Drive ..
Rolah asks Neja: If you could be a monkey for one day, what would you do?
I would steal snow.
Next week is another chance, just go ahead and post your question below (we're continuing the Valetine's Day theme still
