Wild West Short Story Competition

-Download template here.

-Write a story about a train robbery and paste text onto template.

-Title of story and file name must be: The Great Train Robbery

-Go to Stories, click on the "Chronicles of the Wild West" banner and upload entry there.

-Max 400 words.

Judging is based on writing style, grammar, spelling and originality of storyline.

-You may include images but they will not affect judging.

-Western slang is allowed and spelling can be altered for effect e.g. "dangnabbit" "grab yer reins" but make sure your spelling is correct for ordinary words.

-Top 20 will recieve a Sheriffs and Outlaws badge.

-Top 5 will receive a Wild West Stories furni pack.

-Deadline Thursday 21st August at 10:00 am UTC.

Ideas:

Think about who the speaker is. Should your story be 1st person or 3rd person narrative? Who are the main characters? Your story can be told from the point of view of the bandits, the law-enforcement agents, the train passengers, train conductor etc. This piece can be funny, tragic, gripping and action-filled. Just remember to make it yours.
