Habbo’s American Idol Competition

Habbo’s American Idol Competition

It’s time to perform for a spot in the top 12… or 13, maybe 14

You’ve had warm-up rounds, built audition rooms, recording studios and American Idol theaters. Recreated the Hollywood Walk of Fame, participated in fansite events and even started your own artist management companies.

Yes, there is still much more to come, but the big daddy has arrived. Are you Habbo’s American Idol of 2009?

For the next 6 weeks, your task is to perform your heart out and get as many YES votes as possible using the new Voting Chair and HotSpot/Scoreboard. Each week 5 RANDOM Habbos (out of the current top 50 scores) will receive a prize of 25 coins.

At the end of the 6 weeks, we will have our Top 25 contestants. Then, those 25 contestants will face Habbo Staff at the Habbo Judge’s Mansion to perform for a spot in the Top 12. For this, the Top 12 will each receive an exclusive Top 12 Badge and a never to be released Habbo American Idol furniture item to be announced later in the competition.

Once we have our Habbo American Idol Top 12 contestants, they will perform for you – the Habbos. The first voting process will take place. Videos of each contestant’s performance will be put on the Habbo’s American Idol Voting group page for everyone to view. Then you will vote for your favorite in a poll that will be posted at that time.

The Top 6 contestants will move on to the next round and perform again for your votes. For this, the Top 6 will each receive 50 coins.

The Top 2 contestants will then perform one last time for your votes and the grand prize.

The winner will be crowned LIVE at the Habbo American Idol Gala. More details to come later.

THE GRAND PRIZE

- An additional never to be released Habbo American Idol furniture piece
- Habbo American Idol Winner’s Badge
- Habbo American Idol themed room stocked with lots of furniture, 2 gold bars and a few rares
- Fame of having your name in “lights” on the Official Habbo American Idol Competition Winners group page

Tips from Loderse:
- During the scoring period, the Habbos should be judging you on song selection, personally style, personality and obviously your general performance. You will be limited to the Hot Spot area during your performance.
- When you face the Habbo Staff judges, we will not be using the Voting Chair or Hot Spot / Scoreboard. So, your performance can include a choreographed dance routine in addition to your song choice, style and personality. Be sure to practice that routine as well. Similar to the Warm-Up rounds when we started this campaign, don’t limit yourself to simply standing in one spot for your performance.
- Seek help from friends. I’m sure there are more than a few stylists, choreographers and DJs out there.
